The next meeting of the University of Iowa presidential search committee will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 8. This meeting replaces the one previously scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 30. The meeting was moved because additional time was requested by the search consultants, AGB Search, to draft the position description for the next president.

University of Iowa President Bruce Harreld has asked the Board of Regents, State of Iowa, to begin a search for the UI’s next president. Harreld, whose contract runs through June 2023, has informed the board of his desire to retire as soon as a successor can be appointed.
