Board of Regents announces composition of presidential search committee

The Board of Regents, State of Iowa, has announced the composition of the University of Iowa Presidential Search Committee. The 21-person committee will include voices that represent multiple UI constituencies, including 11 individuals with faculty appointments, three students, three staff members, a member of the administration, an alumnus, and two members of the Board of Regents.

The Board of Regents, State of Iowa, has announced that Sandy Daack-Hirsch, associate professor and interim executive associate dean of the College of Nursing, and John Keller, dean of the Graduate College, will serve as co-chairs of the University of Iowa Presidential Search Committee.
President Harreld announces plan for retirement

University of Iowa President Bruce Harreld has asked the Board of Regents, State of Iowa, to begin a search for the UI’s next president. Harreld, whose contract runs through June 2023, has informed the board of his desire to retire as soon as a successor can be appointed.
